My Go-to (Healthy) Chocolate Chip Cookies
Whenever my sweet tooth gets the best of me, I turn to clean baking. If I had the time and resources, I would open my own healthy restaurant & bakery! I enjoy creating so much! I just love experimenting and making (traditionally) unhealthy foods, healthy! When it comes to baking, for me, it’s all about trial and error. After many attempts, here is my go-to chocolate chip cookie recipe. Great if you have a sweet tooth.
Ingredients
1.5 cups of whole wheat flour (feel free to use almond/coconut flour as a substitute if gluten intolerant)
1 cup of oats
1 tsp of sea salt
2 tsp of baking powder
1/2 cup of honey
3/4 coconut sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup of coconut oil
1 tbsp of vanilla extract
Touch of cinnamon
1/2 cup of semi-sweet (or dark) chocolate chips. If you’re daring, mix in a few white chocolate chips, too!
Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix the dry ingredients together, place to the side. Mix the wet ingredients together then slowly mix-in with the dry ingredients. Using a cookie scoop, place batter on a baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes. Yields approx. 30 small cookies!
Enjoy!
