Here’s a quick blog post on the importance of morning routines that you can reference moving forward. I walk you through my process and assist in helping you design your own!
In this month’s feature I am so honoured and grateful to share the survival story of one of my best friends. Rondette overcame a scary encounter with blood clots that traveled to her lungs resulting in a week in the hospital. We are so thankful she lives on to share her story and is gracious enough to share her experience, causes, symptoms, and tips on how to avoid it!
Every now and again I come across a client that blows me away with their drive, commitment and determination towards a sustainable healthy lifestyle. That was the case with Andie. Andie and I worked together for a few months and what I witnessed often left me speechless. She was so committed to building a healthy lifestyle for herself and her family - I was in awe of every conversation we had. And the most endearing part, she's a mother of 5. You heard me... 5! All between the ages of 7-12.
I always say I’ll try everything at least once – So I’m putting that to test by finally giving The Whole30 a try! For those that don’t know, it’s a popular diet plan that millions have tried and continuously praise! Given I’m back in North America for the summer, I figure I’d hop on the band wagon for the month of June as it will be easier to follow!
Cheats Meals - there are two sides to the argument. Those that are all for it (my side), and those that are against it for many reasons. I'm here to share tips on how I've successfully integrated weekly cheat meals/drinks/treats into my lifestyle for the last 11 years as a way to maintain 100lb weight loss
As I've mentioned in previous posts, one of my big goals this year is to provide tangible and practical advice on how I live a healthy sustainable life. So this quick post details my latest mini transformation!
December and January were busy. If you include layovers, I was in 5 time zones and 6 countries. My internal system was a hot mess! So when I got back to Bali I committed to focusing solely on my health and prioritizing it above all.
So, if there's one thing I took from all of your comments/messages/and emails last year - it's that you are looking for more practical advice on how you can achieve your goals. So, I'm here to provide it! In this post I share my regimen before losing the weight, while losing the weight, and my current routine that helps me maintain!
This is one of the most powerful interviews I've completed to date, and I am thrilled to share it with you. I came across Holly's story on Instagram and immediately reached out to her. Her story inspired me in ways I didn't know possible. Her perseverance and resilience through her journey is unlike anything I've come across. Enjoy!
2018 marks the 11th year of my 90-pound weight loss success story! I think it’s important I share this because many of you will be embarking on your own weight loss journey in 2018.Many don’t know, but my weight loss was a result of a New Year’s resolution set 11 years ago. Back in January 2007, I decided it was finally time to take control of my health. After many unsuccessful attempts, I hopped on the bandwagon (yet again) with nothing but hope.
Assigning a number to your food sucks. Period. And I'm here to tell you today why it's something I stopped doing a long long time ago. If you are someone who is currently tracking your food (or considering it) and curious if it's the right approach for you, this article may provide interesting perspective!
Now I'm not referring to the person who indulges every "once in a while" and easily has constraint and discipline. I'm talking to the person who constantly struggles with overeating to the point where it becomes a serious mental battle. You know who you are, and I'm speaking to you.
It wasn't until I addressed my negative relationship with food that I was able to understand that I in fact have an addiction, and struggle with it every day. The hardest part is, my "drug of choice" is necessary for survival. My "drug of choice" is easily accessible, legal, and cheap. My "drug of choice" is a silent killer and has likely taken more lives than any other substance out there.
If you follow me on Snap Chat/IG stories, you might remember me stirring up a bit of controversy this past summer. I (angrily) addressed some party shamers who eluted to the fact that because I'm a health nut, I shouldn't be out nearly as often as I was. Needless to say, I was pissed! However, I took that annoying instance as an opportunity to help share how I juggle living a healthy lifestyle and partying!
If you're one of those people that don't eat breakfast because you're too busy in the mornings, this post may be helpful for you! All too often I hear excuses from my clients as to why they don't eat breakfast and I think it's time I address the importance of this meal and share some quick ways to get it in!
My experience going Vegan for the month! My intention was to simply try it out. I had no expectations, but I was keen to see what the effects would be on my body - especially while training heavily. If you're keen to get on your own Vegan journey - you may find this helpful.
To date, my most popular post has been Project Me where I outline my decision to take a break from corporate and live a more meaningful and purpose-driven life filled with travel. Well, after many requests for an update - here you are!

For those of you that don't know, my weight loss was sparked by a New Year’s resolution! 10 years ago, I decided it was time to take control of my health for the first time… ever. After hundreds of failed attempts, it took the “New Year’s Resolution” momentum, combined with determination, to finally take this journey by the handles and conquer it.
As I prep for my Bali getaway in 3 weeks, I’m cutting back slightly on the weekly cheat meals so I can rock my bikini with pride and confidence! Naturally, I’m missing my pizza fix so I decided to find an alternative! I made pizza stuffed chicken last night and let me tell you, it totally did the job. I was super satisfied!
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I simply don’t believe in measuring! I love experimenting with foods and I believe you should add more or less of what you enjoy based on your taste buds! Especially when it comes to sauces.
Whenever my sweet tooth gets the best of me, I turn to clean baking. If I had the time and resources, I would open my own healthy restaurant & bakery! I enjoy creating so much! I just love experimenting and making (traditionally) unhealthy foods, healthy! When it comes to baking, for me, it’s all about trial and error. After many attempts, here is my go-to chocolate chip cookie recipe. Great if you have a sweet tooth.
Here's a healthy way to enjoy a life long favourite! Best part - takes less than 10 minutes to make!

My waist was (without question) the area of my body I was most embarrassed of. Well now, not so much! My waist hovers around 25-28 inches and I’ve kept it that way for 10 years! This is not to brag but to simply show that I know a thing or two about keep that tummy flat!
